A Judicial Police (PJ) arrested a 32-year-old woman for aggravated drug trafficking. The detainee was present at her first judicial interrogation and was placed in preventive detention.
As explained by the PJ itself in a statement, within the scope of the so-called Operation Papiro, the woman, of foreign nationality, and her husband, who is serving a prison sentence in the Coimbra prison establishment, “had been developing for two years a scheme to sell of narcotics inside the prison”.
During conjugal visits, the woman “managed to introduce a narcotic product impregnated into sheets of paper.”
