Congratulations! You are now a Witsie and part of the Wits family.
Wits University cordially invites you to attend Welcome Day, where first-year students will be addressed by the Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Professor Zeblon Vilakazi.
Please note:
- All first-year students are invited to attend the Welcome Day, along with their parents/guardians.
- Limited seating is available (max. 2 guests per student).
- Sturrock Park will be open ONLY FROM 11:00 for first-year students to sort out any administrative issues they may have ahead of the Gateway to Success programme start. The following services will be available on Sunday:
- Collection of student cards
- Assistance with Wits email access and setup
- General, residence, fees, NSFAS, international student queries
- Food & refreshments will be available for purchase
- Please arrive early to avoid traffic congestion at the gates and secure parking.
- You are welcome to use e-hailing services to be dropped off.
