Wilmington NC Restaurants: Best Dishes & Local Favorites

For several years now, Allison Ballard, our food and dining reporter, has been putting together a list of the best dishes she ate that year.

Looking at this year’s list in today’s StarNews makes me a bit envious. Allison’s list includes soups, dumplings, meatballs, tacos and more. And it all sounds delicious.

The only item I’ve even tried is the sausage, egg and cheese biscuit from the Mayway Lanvale Station. I can attest that it’s pretty tasty.

But, in most cases, I’ve never even been to the restaurants much less tried the dishes listed. I told my husband that our New Year’s resolution should be to try one new restaurant each month. At a minimum, we want to get to the places in Leland we’ve never tried.
