Legendary Hollywood film director and actor Rob Reiner (pictured) and his wife Michelle were found dead at their home in Los Angeles. Director Reiner directed ‘When Harry Met Sally‘, which is considered one of the best romantic comedy films of the 1980s.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles (LA) Fire Department said in a press briefing that they responded to a call for medical assistance at a home in the Brentwood neighborhood, where many celebrities live. The Los Angeles Police Department‘s Violent Crimes Unit also responded to the scene and began investigating the murder.

Police did not provide details about the extent of injuries on the two bodies found inside the home or whether any weapons were found or used.

The American popular magazine People, through an exclusive report, identified director Reiner’s son Nick (32) as the suspect in the couple’s murder. It is reported that Nick is currently being investigated by LA police.

Director Reiner, born in 1947, debuted in the film industry in 1984 with ‘This is Spinal Tap,’ which is considered a masterpiece of the fake documentary genre.
