If you want to chat with others on WhatsApp, you must currently be registered with Messenger from the Meta Group. The integration of third-party services that the EU is aiming for has still not really progressed.
WhatsApp is currently working on a slightly different approach: in the future, you will probably also be able to take part in individual chats as a non-registered guest via the web interface. The prerequisite for this is an invitation link generated and shared by a WhatsApp user. In this case, too, communication should be protected by end-to-end encryption.
However, it is currently not possible to send attachments; The telephone function is also missing. Chats with guests currently expire after 10 days. It is currently not known when the guest chats will make the leap from the beta versions to the release versions.
I think that this could be particularly interesting for WhatsApp business users if you only want to offer customer support via WhatsApp (still).
