The messenger WhatsApp has announced three features – you should know these details now.
They are intended to provide more clarity in chats with many participants. The innovations are now being rolled out worldwide and complement previous updates such as the Apple Watch app or support for third-party chats in the EU.
With the new member tags, users can give themselves a role within individual groups. For example, you can choose the status of “coach” in a sports group, while appearing as “dad” in a family chat.
Text becomes stickers
This should help you classify posts more quickly without having to explain each time in which capacity you are currently writing. Text stickers are also new. Typed words or short texts are automatically converted into stickers.
These can be saved and used again later, for example as recurring reactions or insider terms within a group.
The third innovation concerns event reminders. If an appointment is created in a group chat, additional, freely selectable reminder times can now be set. This is intended to ensure that participants think about meetings, calls or celebrations in good time – including travel or preparation time.
Gradual further development of the platform
With these functions, the Meta messenger continues its course of making group conversations more structured and versatile. The aim is to make WhatsApp more attractive not only for private chats, but also for organization, planning and collaboration.
