The ruling ones overfall by their “state with the main e” (as reads Delyan Peevski’s new slogan), making that they do not notice the contemptuous disapproval that citizens react with. 76 percent of Bulgarians do not like the work of parliament, a study of political attitudes showed in late September. And what do they like? The country crisis is accumulated after a crisis, and the deputies are obsessed only by their small intrigues and fidges.
Last month Parliament made it possible
the worst message to citizens,
When an entire week could not get together for workS Several dozens of MPs had taken over with state delegations abroad, which made the government did not have enough people for the quorum in the plenary. And the opposition has never united for a common protest action – to boycott registration for meetings. Opponents of the authorities refused the majority to include their ideas on the agenda – such as taxation with a transit fee of Russian natural gas and the formation of a poll committee for Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov’s Family Hotel. Next week the ruling revenge By boycotting the proposal to set up the committee in the program.
We can bet that most Bulgarians have not noticed (and they would not be excited) what the circumstances that gave rise to this tiny crisis. However, all of them became clear – that MPs, despite their high salaries and various privileges, may not go to work without being afraid of any consequences.
Who else in this country can afford the same?
And the fact that they did not go to work regularly would not be such a big problem if they still managed to do something that would really show people that their representatives were taking care of the country. How to convince ourselves, since politicians do not even want to do what is necessary to have a legitimate judiciary? Here, the prosecutor’s office has been run by Borislav Sarafov, who, according to the law, and recently, according to the Supreme Court of Cassation, and have recently been ruled It should not be at the forefront of the state prosecution.
However, he remains. Why? Because politicians do not want to choose the parliamentary quota in the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) for 3 years and thus start its replacement. And participating in the current council, which has expired and cannot (and should not) choose a prosecutor’s prosecutor, begins to becomes lifetime workS It is clear – the National Assembly must update the composition of the SJC, which will launch a legitimate and legal procedure for selecting the next head of the state prosecution (as well as the chairman of the Supreme Administrative Court – the current one falls in the same situation as Sarafov). But he doesn’t.
There are warnings everywhere,
that we are entering a constitutional crisis. However, the government behaves this way, It’s like it’s all right And only their political opponents deliberately shake the state. The opposition itself seems completely helpless-it offers solutions to the problem (at least PP-DB have legislative proposals), but without being able to impose them politically. The result-we are deeper into the mound of lawlessness and arbitrary power.
The public probably would not have been paying attention to if the authorities solved the problems that poison the daily life of ordinary people. But the crises alternate with a desperate sequence as it showed the water problemS First, half the side is left without water even for drinking. And now, in the fall, the sky pours so much water that because of incompetence, irresponsibility and corruption in construction, floods and people die.
What did parliament do – the supreme power in the country? Form one
Temporary Committee on Worthiness,
Which was used to asking him for 6 months to ask him about the aquatic crisis (until everyone forgot that such a committee was at all), then wrote a report (which no one read) and the National Assembly accepted it by assigning the government to analyze the recommendations in it and in turn to submit a report by the end of the year. Such an abundance of analyzes and reports – a pity that they cannot be drunk! In order not to seem to be completely useless, MPs created a new organ – National Water Board. What this would help, it was not clear. Not to mention the floods at all – the parliamentary opposition has heard weak voices for resignation in the cabinet, for which the ruling stubbornly make deafening (as they do for everything that opponents of power offer).
Everything is only a small part of the problems that parliament not only does not solve, and even in some respects deepens (the case with the prosecutor’s office is particularly indicative in this regard). Whoever is waiting for things to get better will be disappointed – we can bet that everyone will now take on the scandal that is tied around GERB leader Boyko Borisov because of The Wall Street Journal Publicationand so long everything in parliament will rotate around it. And citizens will look from the side – some will have fun, others will be angry, think about the country that has been flooded, and wonder what this parliament is for.
