West Expands Online Delivery for Alley Economy

Gwangju Seo-gu has expanded its alley economy recovery policy to include online delivery consumption.

According to Seo-gu on the 29th, a ‘business agreement for the operation of a Seo-gu public delivery app’ was recently signed with the Gwangju Economic Promotion Mutual Job Foundation and Shinhan Bank‘s Danggyoyo Project Group.

Seo-gu plans to issue 100 million won worth of 2,500 won discount coupons to Onnuri gift certificate affiliated stores in the area from February to June next year.

Coupons are provided to the first 500 people every day from Monday to Thursday on a first-come, first-served basis, and can be used on orders over 20,000 won.

Accordingly, residents who use Daengkyoyo can enjoy a discount of up to 27.5% by adding the following benefits: ▲10% advance discount on Onnuri gift certificates ▲5% payback to be implemented from mid-January ▲2,500 won discount coupon issued by Seo-gu.

The benefits experienced by small business owners are also significant. Taengkyeoyo operates with a 2% brokerage fee, which means less commission burden compared to private delivery platforms.

Seo Seo’s explanation is that if the number of orders increases due to the expansion of Onnuri gift certificate payments and various discount events, small business owners can expect a reduction in fees and an increase in sales at the same time.

Kim Lee-kang, head of the Seo-gu District Office, said, “Through the public delivery app, residents can reduce their living expenses by up to 27.5%, and small business owners can reduce their fee burden and gain practical benefits.” He added, “We will continue to lead the recovery of the local economy and a sustainable local economic model based on public-private cooperation.” / Reporter Yeon-sang Lee
