The NFL is full of surprises, but Sam Darnold’s recent performances with the Minnesota Vikings are taking the league by storm.

Darnold, who was never quite able to find his footing with the New York Jets and Carolina Panthers, is now putting up MVP-caliber numbers in Minnesota.

Breaking Records in Minnesota

His performance against the Atlanta Falcons on December 3rd was particularly impressive. He threw for five touchdowns, becoming the first Vikings QB since Daunte Culpepper in 2004 to achieve this feat. This wasn’t even his only record. Darnold also extended his streak of games with at least two touchdown passes and zero interceptions to four, a franchise record.

Perhaps the most compelling evidence of Darnold’s turnaround is his impact on the Vikings’ success. Unlike his predecessor, Kirk Cousins, who had a mixed record with the team, Darnold has steered the Vikings to an impressive 11-2 start, making him the first QB to achieve this feat after changing teams since Brett Favre in 2009.

A New Era for the Vikings’

With Darnold leading the charge, the Vikings have become a force to be reckoned with in the league. While many questioned his ability after his earlier struggles, he has silenced the doubters and ushered in a new era of success for the Vikings franchise.
