Water & Humanity: Importance & News | NewsBlaze

by Archynetys World Desk

We are told to drink at least 8 glasses of water each day. The question will be answered after I explain what water is all about.

Despite its name, Planet Earth is still dominated by water, with a ratio of approximately 53% water to 47% land surface. Conversely, the water hemisphere is primarily centered around the Pacific Ocean vicinity, located near the coordinates of 48°S latitude and 178°W longitude.

This hemisphere contains the majority of Earth’s water bodies contrasting with the land hemisphere, which has more landmass.

The water hemisphere includes regions like New Zealand and parts of Antarctica, highlighting the distribution of water on our planet.

What We See From Space

From the heights of space, our earthy-world is seen as a “Blue Planet,” dominated by vast blue oceans that simply dwarf the continental land-mass.

Understanding the precise planet ratio of water versus land is a fundamental geographic inquiry that defines Earth’s appearance and its climate’s systems. This ratio provides the context for nearly every natural process, from weather patterns to the distribution of all life on earth. The distribution of water and land influences human habitation across the entire globe and the entire biological diversity.

What Is Water

Water’s chemical sign is H2O. It is a colorless, transparent, odorless liquid that forms the seas, lakes, rivers, and rain and is the basis of the fluids of living organisms: “sodium chloride dissolves in water.”

Water keeps the garden green, it comes out from the kitchen and bathroom taps and rinses the dishes in the dish washer and washes the human being’s body through the shower splash or when one soaks, at ease, in the bathtub.

The Importance of Water

Water plays an important role in world’s economy, with approximately 70% of the fresh water being used going to agriculture, which feeds humanity.

Fish grow in fresh and salt water and thus fishing is conducted in fresh and salt water bodies providing a major source of food for many parts of the world, providing 6.5% of the global protein consumption.

Much of the long-distance trade of commodities, i.e., oil, natural gas transportation as well as manufactured products is transported by ships through seas, rivers, lakes, and canals.

Large quantities of water, ice, and steam are used in the cooling and heating industry and in homes. Water is an excellent solvent for a wide variety of substances, both mineral and organic and as such, it is widely used in industrial processes and in cooking, washing and when icing a drink. Ice is commonly used in alcoholic beverages or a cool drink.

Manmade fish ponds are used to grow the Trout and Carp fish; Carp ponds are primarily used for aquaculture and recreational fishing.

However, in Israel cultivated Carp in manmade large ponds is a significant industry, supporting local economies by providing fish for consumption and sale while the Koi fish is popular for ornamental purposes.

Israel’s climate is conducive to year-round fish farming, adopted to minimize environmental impact, and when driving through the country’s landscape, Carp ponds are visible and prevalent.

Sustainable practices are increasingly adopted and increasing developed to minimize environmental impact.

Gefilte fish

Gefilte” translates to “stuffed” in English. The Gefilte fish is a traditional Jewish dish made from ground Carp, mixing it with other ingredients, often served during the Jewish holidays.

The fresh water Carp is the primary fish used for the gefilte fish dish. The fish are harvested during specific seasons to ensure quality.

The Gefilte fish dish originated in Eastern Europe, where fish was a common food source. It has roots in Ashkenazi Jewish cuisine, traditionally served on Shabbat and holidays, particularly Passover.

For the lazy holiday host, Gefilte fish is often found jarred or frozen, with variations in flavor and preparation including a Sephardic adaptation style dish.

Body Hydration Is Imperative

Drinking water supports vital bodily functionsincluding digestion and circulation, the enhancement of physical performance, reduction of fatigue, promotes healthy skin and prevents dryness.

Water is a factor in regulating body temperature through sweat and respiration, and it aids in nutrient absorption and its transportation to the cells. Cognitive function and concentration are much improved with proper hydration.

The Fun Water Offers

A popular pastime is spending time on the beach, sunbathing, swimming and enjoying water sports, such as water skiing and boat racing.

Snow and ice are created from water making ice skiing, snow skiing or snow snowboarding one other pastime. The Winter Olympics are all about ice and snow on which all sports are conducted.

Water is the main artery of human life and to feed this artery it is highly recommended to drink 8 glasses of water each day.
