The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has set for April 8 and 9 the first public hearings for the complaint filed against Germany by Nicaragua, which warns of alleged connivance of the German authorities with the “genocide” that Israel would be committing in the Gaza Strip.
The Central American country appeals to the Genocide Convention and the Geneva Conventions to question the military and financial aid offered to Israel and demand the adoption of provisional measures. The two parties will present their respective arguments next month, a step before the ICJ decides whether to impose some type of precautionary measure.
The Nicaraguan party will take the floor on April 8, while the German party will do the same a day later, according to the initial calendar released by the court and which does not set a date for the final decision-making.

SEATTLE (AP) — After a daring escape from a trailer near Seattle, a zebra named “Shug” was finally recaptured on Friday evening, bringing an end to her adventurous journey through the foothills of western Washington.
