Walter Clayton Scores First Points As Member Of Utah Jazz

by Archynetys News Desk

SALT LAKE CITY – No. 18 overall pick Walter Clayton Jr. took matters into his own hands to score his first points in a Utah Jazz jersey.

Clayton took the inbounds pass and went coast-to-coast before rising up to finish in traffic.

Checking in midway through the first quarter, the rookie guard out of Florida gave an immediate energy boost.

He guarded his matchup all 94 feet, nearly causing an eight-second violation as soon as he hit the floor.

Although he has a reputation as a tough shot maker, he was very calm and calculated with the ball, choosing to run the offense instead of constantly looking for his own shot.

But when the opportunity was there, he took it. In his first 15 minutes of action, Clayton posted five points, three rebounds, five assists, and a block.
