The Wallace Collection, located in London and renowned for its collection of fine and decorative arts and arms & armour, is marking its 125th anniversary with its first collaboration with Google Arts & Culture. In 1897, Lady wallace gifted over 5,500 objects to the nation. This collaboration with Google Arts & Culture showcases the collection through digitized artworks, including 59 in gigapixel detail, 50 digital stories, and a 3D exhibition.The digital experience includes Whispers from The Wallace Collection, inviting audiences to interact with the art.

The 59 ultra-high-resolution gigapixel captures reveal details normally unseen. Viewers can observe subtleties such as the red lashes in Watteau’s A Woman at Her Toilet, the lace in Vigee Le Brun’s Madame Perregaux, hidden symbols in jan Steen’s Celebrating the Birth, and atmospheric details in Ruben’s Rainbow Landscape.
Viewers can appreciate remarkable subtleties, such as the unexpectedly vibrant red lashes of the maid in Watteau’s A Woman at Her Toilet.
