The new Volvo EX60 arrived on the Portuguese market with an ambitious proposal, record autonomy, cutting-edge technology and a price positioning that directly challenges the competition. Orders are now open and the first deliveries are scheduled for summer 2026.
The Volvo EX60 is the mid-sized electric SUV that the Swedish brand places in the largest and most sought-after segment of the global automobile market. Built on the new SPA3 platform, developed in partnership with the Geely Group, the EX60 represents the first Volvo to benefit from this new generation electric architecture.
At 4,803 mm long, 1,993 mm wide, the EX60 fits precisely into the same space as the BMW iX3, Audi Q6 e-tron and Mercedes-Benz EQC, its direct rivals. This is no coincidence, as it was designed to compete for this territory inch by inch.
Table of Contents
On the outside, the EX60 doesn't try to be revolutionary. The design is recognizable as Volvo at first glance, with clean surfaces, balanced proportions and the light signature of Thor's Hammer in the front headlights.
At the rear, the vertical lights integrated into the D pillars are a subtle but effective detail that works well both day and night.
The most relevant novelty in aerodynamic terms is the illuminated electronic door handles, with a discreet profile, but very well integrated.
The low front and the contoured roof profile complement this efficiency effort without sacrificing the presence and robustness characteristic of an SUV.

Space, quality and technology
In the cabin, the EX60 uses high-quality natural materials and a functional organization that favors the well-being of the occupants.
The flat floor, the result of the integration of the battery into the body structure (cell-to-body), improves habitability in the second row and gives the car a feeling of space greater than expected for its class.
The panoramic roof is standard and is available in the electrochromic version, which allows you to adjust the transparency of the glass.
The luggage compartment can be expanded up to 1,647 liters with the rear backrests folded down, thanks to the 40/20/40 split that also allows the transport of long objects.
A control panel in the boot makes it easy to fold down the seats and operate the optional electric tow hook. Towing capacity goes up to 2.400 kgdepending on the engine chosen.
The sound system Bowers & Wilkins de 28 altifalantesincluding units integrated into the headrests, a new addition to the Volvo range, is the premium option for those who value the sound experience on board.

Reference security
Safety is, as always at Volvo, a central argument. The EX60 debuts the multi-adaptive seat belt.
This system, available as standard on the front seats, uses real-time data from internal and external sensors to adjust belt tension depending on the severity of the impact, the size of the occupants and the seating position.
Complementing the safety features are advanced driving assistance systems, collision prevention with detection of vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists, and a safety cage reinforced with new generation airbags.
Engines and autonomy
The great technical novelty of the EX60 lies in its 800-volt electrical architecture, developed in-house by Volvo, which allows for unprecedented charging speeds in the segment.
Three engine configurations are available
P6 RWD: entry into the range
- Power: 374 hp (275 kW) / 480 Nm
- Traction: Rear (single engine)
- Battery: 83 kWh
- autonomy WLTP: up to 620 km
- 0-100 km/h: 5.9 seconds
- Fast charging: up to 275 kW
P10 AWD: performance and range
- Power: 510 cv / 710 Nm
- Traction: Integral (two engines)
- Battery: 95 kWh
- autonomy WLTP: up to 660 km
- 0-100 km/h: 4.6 seconds
- Fast charging: up to 375 kW
P12 AWD: top of the range with incredible autonomy
- Power: 680 cv / 790 Nm
- Traction: Integral (two engines)
- Battery: 117 kWh (112 kWh useful)
- WLTP autonomy: up to 810 km
- Fast charging: up to 500 kW

The range of 810 km is a historic value for the Swedish brand and places the EX60 P12 at the top of the segment. In everyday practice, the charging speed is perhaps the even more impressive argument: in the P10 and P12 versions, it is possible to recover around 340 km of autonomy in just 10 minutes charging under ideal conditions.
As with all Volvo models, maximum speed is limited to 180 km/ha brand decision based on safety arguments.

New SPA3 platform highlighted
The EX60 is the first Volvo model to take full advantage of the SPA3 platform, which has visible practical implications.
The technology of mega casting replaces hundreds of smaller parts with large body sections cast from a single piece of aluminum, improving rigidity, reducing weight and simplifying the production process.

The integration cell-to-bodyin turn, merges the battery with the vehicle's structure, freeing up space, reducing weight and simultaneously increasing autonomy.
The infotainment system uses Google servicesintegrated as standard for four years, with the possibility of renewal after that date. Connectivity and over-the-air updates ensure the car evolves over time.
