The Volvo EX30 has been a great success in Norway, with more than 12,000 registered cars since its launch in 2023.
Now the model gets an upgrade, with, among other things, new interior choices and more colors to choose from.
In addition, both new and existing owners will get a better user experience, the car manufacturer promises.
New interior choices
On the inside, the car comes with two new interior themes, a bright one called “Harvest”. Here, light woven textile in recycled material is combined with Nordico upholstery and dark linen details, as well as black roof covering.
The other is simply called Black – and is an all-black interior with Nordico covers and dark linen details.
EX30 Black Edition, can be delivered with the new Black interior, as well as the exterior colors Onyx Black, Vapor Gray and Crystal White (previously only available in Onyx Black).

Better user-friendliness
In addition, the user interface on the screen is upgraded, so that the most important functions are more easily accessible. Menus and settings get an updated redesign, and a separate content bar can be customized to show the shortcuts you use most often.
Also new is support for Vehicle-to-load (V2L). Using an adapter that is inserted into the charging socket, you can connect everything from coffee makers to heaters, and use the battery in the car as a giant power bank.
Wireless updates
Both the new user experience and V2L support will also be available on existing cars during the summer, through wireless updates. The adapter is optional equipment.
– The EX30 has been an important model in the fast-growing premium entry-level segment for electric cars. With these upgrades, we strengthen the model’s position and make it relevant to even more customers, says Erik Severinson, commercial director at Volvo Cars.
Half a million – but the Swedes beat us
New powertrains – but not for Norway
The model also comes with a new driveline with simpler motorization, a 51 kilowatt-hour battery pack and a 339 kilometer range.
The Cross Country version also comes in a version with rear-wheel drive. However, these will not be available in Norway, writes Volvo in a press release.
EX30 model year 2027 will be available to Norwegian customers in the coming weeks.

A little cooler – but they could have done more
