Following her role in Amazon MGM Studios’ action film G20, Viola Davis is set to collaborate with the studio once again in a new conspiracy thriller, Ally Clark.

The film will be directed by Phillip Noyce, known for his work in the thriller genre with movies such as Clear and Present Danger, Salt, and Rabbit proof Fence. Veteran producer Irwin Winkler, whose credits include Rocky, Goodfellas, and The Alto Knights, will produce the feature.

Winkler Films’ Charlies Winker and David Winkler, along with Jose Ruisanchez, will also serve as producers. Davis will produce alongside her husband and JuVee Productions partner, Julius Tennon.

Plot Details of ‘Ally Clark’

The script, penned by Ruisanchez and Irwin Winkler, revolves around Ally Clark, an investigator to be portrayed by Davis. According to the studio, Clark launches a hazardous investigation into an international conglomerate after the suspicious death of a close friend. The investigation takes her from Washington, D.C.,to the bayous of Louisiana and the icy landscapes of Alaska.

“The case will take her from the marble halls of Washington, D.C. to the sweltering bayous of Louisiana and the icy peaks of Alaska.”

The project is currently in progress, with JuVee Productions’ Melanie Clark serving as executive producer.

Viola Davis’ Recent Success

Davis‘s previous film, G20, was a success for Amazon’s Prime Video, reaching the top spot on Nielsen’s movie chart during its debut week in april with 516 million minutes streamed.Davis starred in and produced the film through her JuVee banner, which focuses on developing and producing socially relevant entertainment that promotes inclusion and gives a voice to the voiceless.

Davis, an EGOT winner, is represented by CAA and Lasher Group.
