For its annual review, Google reveals the most sought-after trends of the year, and unsurprisingly, vintage fashion from the 90s and 2000s dominates current desires.
Like every year, Google published its “Year in Search”, highlighting the most popular queries. In 2025, one of the key trends concerns vintage clothing. Surprise ? Not really: with the craze for nostalgia for the 90s and 2000s, it was obvious that this year would be dedicated to vintage. A list of the 10 most searched for vintage items, based on traffic peaks on Google over the last 12 months, has been revealed.

Vintage: the great return of icons from the 90s and 2000s
Topping this list are Oakley hoodies. Better known for its glasses and sports equipment, the brand also seduces with its streetwear aesthetic: its vintage sweatshirts continue to please thanks to their retro and discreet logo. Next come Red Kap pants, an American brand founded in 1923, appreciated for their robustness and utilitarian style. T-shirts from glam-rock band Mötley Crüe also remain highly sought after, their stylized logo and rock’n’roll imagery reflecting the popularity of merch t-shirts.
The list also includes Eagles jackets in bright satin green and various sweatshirts emblematic of the old-school spirit and American workwear of the 90s/2000s, perfectly embodying the ambient nostalgia. Hollister jackets with faux fur collars, the symbol of a cool and casual style, and Miss Me jeans in a raw wash with rhinestone-adorned back pockets, respond to the renewed interest in sexy jeans of the 2000s. Finally, Fox Racing hoodies, vintage shorts and high-neck sweatshirts complete this very popular selection.
This craze for vintage pieces reflects a 2025 fashion focused on fashion comebacks. On the red carpets, celebrities are multiplying archive outfits, reviving iconic trends from recent decades, notably Tom Ford’s 90s silhouettes and the sexy, girly style of the 2000s.
