by drbyos

Return this Monday, January 5 to schools, at all levels of the pyramid of sectors and training, as well as to all supervisory institutions. Resumption of timetables and programs with educational teams, and relaunch of prevention and awareness-raising actions in partnership with State services, including the National Gendarmerie, as well as partner insurance organizations and groups. These initiatives concern both primary schools, with interventions on movement in public spaces, and more targeted themes for high school students. The sequences are provided by the Head Marshal Antoine Chorgnon, of the local brigade, referent for the information, training and assessment sessions, in collaboration with the teachers.

For the current school year, some 106 2nd year Elementary Course (CE2) students from the Vic sector – Saint Martin, Pierre Guillard, Andrest and Artagnan schools – passed, after road education awareness sessions including screenings and question-and-answer exchanges, the control test via a multiple-choice questionnaire, leading to the award of the Pedestrian License.

On the program for this month of January: Pedestrian Permit at the d’Artagnan school on Thursday 15th, then Pedestrian Permit with awareness of the dangers of the Internet at the Andrest school on Thursday 22nd. For high school students, an action on the prevention of addictions will take place at the Jean-Monnet agricultural and forestry high school on Wednesday 28th. These interventions are part of the Departmental Road Safety Action Plan, the objective of which is to “raise awareness and educate children from an early age about the dangers of the road and appropriate behavior as a pedestrian”, while contributing to the formation of civic awareness.
