For all owners of Business Accounts who want additional visibility, the company has presented Business Plus – premium subscription service that provides better positioning in search results and increased visibility in Viber Market. Subscribers also get access to Viber Plus.
In the past year Viber Dating has established itself in Bulgaria as a new, safe way for online dating. Although integrated into the app, the service clearly separates casual conversations and contacts from romantic dating and chats. Thanks to the feature Hide Contacts users manage their visibility, ensuring maximum privacy, discretion and control to create genuine connections in a secure environment. And their phone number always remains completely hidden and is never shown to potential partners.
In the previous year, Viber Plus add the function “Hide typing”which hides the typing indicator in chats from other participants in the conversation. The new option is part of the “Invisible Mode” privacy settings and complements two key updates from 2024: “Delete messages without a trace” and “Leave group discreetly”. For small and medium-sized businesses and agencies, Viber launched and Ads Manager – a self-service platform that enables small and medium-sized agencies and advertisers to independently create and manage advertising campaigns in target markets. Payment is based on actual consumption, and the intuitive interface allows for easy management, real-time testing of ad positions, and tracking of campaign performance.
Since last year, brands have new interactive formats for business messages – carousels and lists. Carousel messages allow sharing of up to five scrolling cards in one message, a list type messages function as polls with up to five possible answers.
In 2025, Rakuten Viber added over 3000 new emojiswhich give users an even more diverse way to express their emotions.
At the end of the year, the new function was introduced AI Link Summarywhich extracts the most important from links shared in chats. Using advanced artificial intelligence, the tool condenses long articles into short summaries, saving time and making it easy to share information without leaving the app.
