Vasil Levski Airport: Flight Disruptions & Cancellations

The reason – hurricane wind

Seven flights at Sofia’s “Vasil Levski” airport have been diverted due to hurricane-force winds, and three departures have been cancelled, a BGNES reporter reported.

Diverted are: an EasyJet flight from London to Sofia, which landed in Budapest and returned; a Fly Dubai flight returned to Dubai and a Swiss flight returned to Zurich.

Greece’s airspace is closed to flights due to a technical problem

The Lufthansa plane from Frankfurt has landed at the airport in Plovdiv.

A Ryanair flight from London to Sofia has been cancelled.

EasyJet and Ryanair flights to London and Swiss to Zurich have been canceled from Sofia.
