Uzbekistan Launches Voucher Program for Unemployed Job Seekers

The cabinet of Ministers Uzbekistan has initiated a voucher system aimed at providing unemployed individuals with training in foreign languages and professions that are currently in high demand within the labor market. This initiative takes into account the specific needs and requests of employers.
A key focus of the program is to support vulnerable segments of the population. Scholarships will be available for people with disabilities and unemployed individuals from low-income families who enroll in training courses lasting longer than three months.
the newly approved resolution also outlines the procedures for issuing these training vouchers, including:
- The process for reimbursing training costs for unemployed individuals, including those from families listed in the “Register of low -income families.”
- the establishment of a register of educational organizations authorized to provide services under the voucher program.
- The guidelines for issuing and utilizing vouchers, and also the financial arrangements for participating educational institutions.
The resolution, which took affect on August 21, 2025, has been officially published in the national database.
