Dr. Bubis currently holds the position of director of the Health Area and is a researcher at the Protein Biochemistry Laboratory of the Foundation Institute of Advanced Studies (Idea).

The conferral ceremony took place in the Paraninfo of the USB, attended by prominent figures including Dr. Marinés Longart and Dr. Juan Carlos martínez,president and vice president of Idea,respectively. Colleagues, researchers, and scientists from various institutions were also present to celebrate dr. Bubis’s achievements.

Dr. Bubis’s current research focuses on a project titled “Biochemical characterization of novel molecular white related to the adenosin 3´, 5´-cyclic monkophosphate route in tripans that caused diseases of veterinary interest.” This groundbreaking work aims to understand the molecular mechanisms of diseases affecting animals, potentially leading to new prevention and treatment strategies. According to the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH), controlling animal diseases is crucial for global food security and public health. Dr. Bubis’s research directly addresses this need.
With this research, the Venezuelan scientist intends to open roads for the prevention and treatment of diseases of veterinary interest, which will contribute to maintaining the good health of animals.
