People With Disabilities Or Working People Of Retirement…

According to Minister of Social Security and Labor Monika Navickienė, if the Seimas approves the proposals, it will open up opportunities to improve the quality of life of people – both those with disabilities and those of retirement age – who are able and willing to work successfully.

“The essence of these proposals is not to force a person to choose between work and welfare pension. We encourage people with disabilities to work and earn, regardless of whether they were diagnosed with a disability before the age of 24 or later, while receiving a welfare pension at the same time. We also open up opportunities for working pensioners, who would no longer lose their right to welfare pension while working,” says M. Navickienė.

According to the currently valid regulations, only those persons who have been recognized as disabled before their 24th birthday can work and receive a welfare pension at the same time. At that time, people diagnosed with 45-55% participation rate already at the age of 24, in general, they are not entitled to receive a benefit pension. If the changes are approved, all disabled and working people, as well as working people who have reached retirement age,

The Russian Federation Faces A Shortage Of Buckwheat;…

Despite the fact that Russia is considered one of the main consuming countries of this cereal, its homeland is China. It would seem that this is where the best buckwheat should be grown, but it turns out that the situation is completely different.

Our country still occupies the leading position in buckwheat cultivation, followed only by the Celestial Empire. However, in years of poor harvest, cereals begin to be imported from Asia. Suffice it to recall 2010, when prices for domestic cereals skyrocketed due to drought. Many experts predict that history will repeat itself, since due to bad weather Russia will again face a shortage of buckwheat.

According to the forecasts of experts surveyed by Forbes, the cost of production has increased significantly, in contrast to the prices for buckwheat themselves. Because of this, according to forecasts, farmers may reduce the area under cultivation by a third, which will lead to an increase in prices for cereals next year.

In addition, weather forecasters also predict an abnormally hot and dry summer, and experts from the Russian Agricultural Center warn of a locust invasion in the new season in several regions of the Russian Federation,

BANKNOTES The Ariary Continues To Be Printed Elsewhere

The Central Bank is not yet planning to produce its notes. According to explanations provided yesterday by the governor of this financial institution, the manufacturing of banknotes is a long and tedious process. It also requires a certain level of technicality and engineering which the Big Island does not yet have. “We have neither the printing works nor the technicians who are capable of supplying, for example, the papers which are used in the making of bank notes. There are several industries that specialize in the manufacture of a single component of banknotes such as filaments or even paper,” Aivo Andrianarivelo, governor of the Central Bank, explained yesterday.

The manufacture of banknotes is also constantly evolving. Hence the need to invest in research and development to strengthen the security of these notes and avoid counterfeits, which are increasingly inventive.

Some African countries have ventured into manufacturing their own currencies, without success. The coin industries had to close five or ten years later. And out of fifty-four countries on the continent, forty-three countries, including the Big Island, are totally dependent on European and American printing companies.

Printing money is also expensive. Because, yes, money can also be bought.
