SEOUL — The arrest and detention of hundreds of employees at a Hyundai-LG joint venture battery factory under construction in the U.S. is sending shock waves through South Korea and raising questions over the practice of expanding stateside operations worth billions of dollars under pressure from the administration of President Donald Trump.
