After the US House of Representatives passed the temporary funding bill, US President Donald Trump tonight (between Wednesday and Thursday) signed the law that reopens the federal government and ends the longest strike in US history – which lasted 43 days.

Trump’s signing, as reported, came shortly after the House of Representatives approved the bill by a vote of 222 in favor and 209 in favor. Six Democrats joined Republicans who voted for, including two who voted against.

With the signing ceremony, the White House posted on its official account on the X Network: “We are back and strong.” “Today we are sending a clear message: we will never give in to blackmail,” said President Trump. “Republicans never wanted a shutdown, but extremists wanted to cause the longest shutdown in our history.”
