US Congressmen Will Consider A Bill To Help…

by drbyos

The US House of Representatives will next week consider a bill to help Israel and hold Iran accountable for the escalating conflict in the Middle East.

As Day.Az reports with reference to TASS, this was announced by the leader of the Republican majority in the lower house of the legislature, Steve Scalise.

“In light of Iran’s unwarranted attack on Israel, the House of Representatives will depart from its previously announced legislative schedule and will consider legislation to help our ally Israel and hold Iran and its terrorist supporters accountable,” the legislator said in a statement.

Scalice said that more detailed information will be provided later. He stressed that US congressmen “support Israel” and added that, in his words, there should be consequences for an “unprovoked attack” on the Jewish state.

False Images Of Irans Attack On Israel DW…

Last weekend, Iran attacked Israel militarily. The Iranian military fired around 300 rockets, cruise missiles and drones at Israel on the night of Saturday to Sunday. The Lebanese Hezbollah militia and the Yemeni Houthi rebels, both of whom are close to the mullahs’ regime in Tehran, also fired rockets at Israel.

However, the assessment and classification of the military operation varies greatly. Both sides use dubious images to document their point of view.

Claim: “This attack shows the true colors of Iran,” says the final sequence of a video that the Israeli Defense Forces on X, formerly Twitter, have posted. The video and screenshots from it – similar to those seen below – have been widely shared on social media spread.

DW fact check: Incorrect.

The Israeli army documented Iran’s drone attack on Israel in several video clips and edited some of them together into the video in question. The British fact checker Shayan Sardarizadeh comes to the conclusion that the majority of the clips are real and come from April 14th. But the last shot is probably ten years old, says Sardarizadeh on X.

One Reverse image search DW Fact Check showed that this setting had already been used several times in Russian news broadcasts for different scenarios from the Ukrainian war.

Israel And Hamas Condemn Islamic State Terrorist Attack…

The president of Israel, Isaac Herzog, this Saturday “strongly condemned the barbaric terrorist attack” by the Islamic State yesterday in Moscow, which left at least 133 dead; a message of solidarity similar to that expressed by the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas, which also condemned the attack.

Herzog spoke with the Russian ambassador to Israel to convey, “on behalf of the Israeli people, my condolences to the families of the victims, to the Russian people and their leaders for the terrible loss of life.”

“I highlighted that terrorism of any kind, especially jihadist terror, indiscriminately attacks all peoples, of all beliefs and religions, while sowing fear and destruction,” he stated.

Herzog stressed that the fight against terrorism is an “important international challenge that the countries of the world must combat together.”

Israel has been fighting a war for more than five months in the Gaza Strip against Hamas, which it considers terrorist like the EU or the US, after the Islamist group committed an incursion into Israeli soil on October 7 that left some 1,200 dead and more than 250 kidnapped.

The military offensive deployed since then in Gaza by Israel has caused the death of more than 32,000 Palestinians,

Spain Cancels The Golden Visa For Potentates

Madrid. The Spanish government, chaired by the socialist Pedro Sánchez, decided to put an end to one of the figures that allow obtaining the so-called golden visathat of real estate investment exceeding half a million euros (9 million 500 thousand pesos), which opens the door to legal residence for at least three years and the immediate repatriation of family members and spouses. This measure, which was approved as a result of the 2013 economic crisis, has benefited 368 Mexicans, some of them businessmen or people looking to change their place of residence. Among them, the politician and former Mexican president Enrique Peña Nieto stands out, who obtained his residency in 2020 and renewed it at least until 2028.

Need for foreign investment

The calls golden visas They are intended for businessmen or people with high purchasing power who are seeking to settle temporarily in Spain. Busch On The New Rules: Should Be Allowed…

#Busch #rules #allowed #burn #leaves #Sweden

The news was noticed last week. As part of the EU’s new directive on composting, the burning of leaves, branches and other garden waste must be prohibited.

At least that was how the Environmental Protection Agency interpreted the regulations, which angered politicians.

– It is completely absurd, said the EU parliamentarian Emma Wiesner (C).

Ebba Busch, party leader of the Christian Democrats and Minister of Energy and Industry, makes a different assessment.

“Don’t worry – May bonfires will be lit during Valborg fair evening”she signs X.

This counts as garden waste

This applies above all to leaves, plant parts and grass clippings that come from tending the garden. Stumps and woody waste such as branches are also classified as garden waste.

Wood, on the other hand, is not covered by the regulations.

The new regulations are part of the EU’s waste directive.

Speed Camera Marathon Starts: This Is What You…

#Speed #camera #marathon #starts #watch #dont #fine

Anyone who regularly drives too fast on the road will have to be careful this week. The European police organization Roadpol is holding a real speed camera marathon. Day and night. And Brabant is not left out.

The flash marathon is actually exactly what the name suggests. This entire week, police forces from 29 European countries are joining forces to fine speeders and red-light drivers. Of course with speed cameras, but also with inconspicuous speed checks, laser guns and inconspicuous police cars.

The focus is on places where people often drive too fast. “Almost everything is done there to fine speeders,” says the ANWB.

Infamous speed cameras
There are a number of infamous speed cameras in Brabant. In 2023, 25,887 offenders were caught on N270/Europaweg (intersection with the Hortsedijk) in Helmond. This puts this intersection proudly at the top of Brabant’s top 10 of speed cameras. This is the whole list:
