Authorities have apprehended vance Luther Boelter, a 57-year-old man previously identified as a “person of interest,” in connection to the double political attack that resulted in the death of democratic congresswoman Melissa Hortman adn her husband. Boelter is also accused of wounding Democrat John Hoffman and his wife with multiple gunshots.

The FBI had offered a $50,000 reward for data leading to Boelter’s arrest. over 100 law enforcement officers reportedly searched the rural area of Sibley County, near Boelter’s residence, on sunday. The exact location of the arrest has not been confirmed.

The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office (MN) shared a photo of the operation, confirming Boelter’s arrest.They stated, “After an implacable and certain police work, the murderer is now in custody.”
