Krasimira Hadjiyska Appointed CEO

Krasimira Hadjiyska,a long-standing veteran of Nova Broadcasting Group wiht over two decades of experience,has been named the new Chief Executive Officer. Her extensive background within the company, most recently as Chief Operations Officer, positions her as a natural successor to lead the organization forward. Hadjiyska’s deep understanding of the business and proven leadership skills are expected to be instrumental in driving the company’s continued success.

Hadjiyska’s journey with Nova Broadcasting Group began in 2003, and she has since played a pivotal role in establishing the company as a leader in the Bulgarian media market. Her previous roles include sales Director and head of Sales, Marketing, and PR departments. Notably,she spearheaded partnerships with major international television channels,including The Walt Disney Company,Fox,AXN,and discovery,solidifying Nova Broadcasting Group’s position as a media pioneer in Bulgaria.

Dirk Gerkens Transitions to Chairman Role

Dirk Gerkens, the outgoing CEO, will transition to the role of Chairman of Nova Broadcasting Group. He will also remain a member of the Board and Director of Programming, Production, and Advertising Sales at United Media, the parent company.This strategic move ensures continuity and allows Gerkens to continue overseeing the long-term news and current affairs broadcasting of Nova Broadcasting Group, safeguarding United Media’s commitment to journalistic excellence.

Vera Ankova Named Chief Operations Officer

Further strengthening the leadership team, Vera Ankova has been appointed Chief Operations Officer. Ankova will be responsible for the overall content management across Nova Broadcasting Group’s television programs and digital platforms.Her appointment is expected to enhance the company’s media presence and ensure a cohesive content strategy.

Ankova brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as CEO of News at Nova Broadcasting Group and Director of New Content and Strategic Advancement. Her background also includes a tenure as CEO of Bulgarian National Television and a role as a stringer for CNN in Bulgaria. She is a member of the International Academy of television Arts and Sciences, further highlighting her expertise in the field.
