The Port Workers’ Union ends conflict

Now the drawn -out conflict between the Port Workers’ Union (HF) and Sweden’s ports is solved. That after the parties signed a new agreement on Thursday afternoon.

During the year, HF has been in conflict with Sweden’s ports. This spring, the members strikes with the goal of getting their own collective agreement. They wanted a different content regarding, for example, staffing, than that contained in Transport’s agreement.

But now the Harbor Workers’ Union has chosen to sign a new secondary agreement and cancel the combat measures. The agreement has the same content as the transport and Sweden’s ports negotiated this spring.

One of four teachers exposed by violent guardians

In the report “Protected Title, Dependent Occupation”, Sweden’s teachers have asked 1495 members about threats and violence. The result shows that one of four teachers in leisure homes and one of five low -school teachers has experienced threatening situations with guardians.

About one in five teachers have been subjected to verbal violence by guardians. Två till tre procent av lärare i fritidshem, förskoleklass, lågstadium och mellanstadium har utsatts för fysiskt våld, minst ett par gånger under året.

“Unfortunately, I am not surprised,” says Anna Olskog, chairman of Sweden for Sweden’s teachers, to us teachers.

No winners with the new A-cash, according to LO’s first vice-chairman

I en debattartikel i Arbetet skriver Louise Olsson, LO:s förste vice ordförande, att den nya arbetslöshetsförsäkringen inte har några vinnare. She writes that people with wages over the roof are losing thousands of kronor a month in compensation. And for those with a salary under the roof, the compensation will be reduced faster than before.

New collective agreement for teachers in free schools

Sweden’s teacher and Almega education have signed a new collective agreement with a contract value of 6.4 percent. The contract value is meant by the calculated value of an agreement and includes, for example, wage increases. The agreement covers 20,000 preschool teachers, teachers and study and vocational counselors in the free school sector.

Kollektivavtalet gäller från 1 september till och med sista augusti 2027. Det innehåller förbättringar, exempelvis i löneavtalet och för föräldralediga som får generösare möjlighet till uttag. However, as before, the wage agreement is based on local wage formation, without an individual guarantee. This means that the salary increase in the agreement applies to entire workplaces and not every individual employee at these workplaces.

Another change is that part -time employees who will be ordered to work overtime will receive overtime compensation. Previously, they have been replaced with so -called extra -time up to a full -time service.

Increased unemployment among academics

A new report from SACO shows that the number of unemployed academics has increased by over 23,000 people in two years. Unemployment is now 5 percent, a level that was last measured during the financial crisis. The hardest affected are younger, foreign -born and academics in educational orientations that had high levels of unemployment since before.

The report shows that the development is driven by the weak economy. But also of structural changes in the labor market, such as the rapid technological development with, among other things, generative AI.

– När konjunkturen viker samtidigt som stora strukturella förändringar sker på arbetsmarknaden riskerar effekterna att bli särskilt allvarliga. Young people who have just graduated risk a tough start to working life, and older academics can be pushed out despite long experience. It’s unfortunate. Sweden cannot afford to allow well -trained labor to be lost, says Göran Arrius, chairman of Saco, in a press release.
