Uncovering Coupangs Alleged Search Site Manipulation And Unfair…

by drbyos

The results of Coupang’s suspicions of “promotion negotiated with the company” regarding search site manipulation will soon be revealed.

It has been confirmed that Coupang is being investigated by the Fair Trade Commission on suspicion of passing on promotional costs to subcontractors who produce and deliver its own branded (PB) products.

The Fair Trading Commission will soon decide whether to impose sanctions on accusations of manipulating PB products such as ‘Exploration’ and ‘Comet’ to appear at the top of search sites.

According to the distribution industry on the 24th, the Fair Trade Commission is currently conducting a final investigation into Coupang’s violation of the subcontracting law. Accordingly, there is speculation that the Fair Trade Commission will send a review report, equivalent to an indictment by the prosecution, as early as the first half of the year (January to June).

The problem was the suspicion that Coupang passed on promotional costs to subcontractors while lowering the prices of some poorly performing PB products. This means that companies that manufacture and distribute PB products are required to bear all costs for discount events. If you abuse your senior position and transfer promotional costs unfairly, it could be against the subcontracting law.

They Give BGN 1.2 Billion From The Budget…

The parliament obliges the government, through the ministers of finance and energy, to do everything possible to allocate 200 million per year for the reclamation of disturbed areas

200 million BGN per year from the budget for the reclamation of disturbed areas in the “Maritsa-East” mine was voted by the energy committee in the parliament. For 6 years, this is BGN 1.2 billion. The decision obliges the Council of Ministers, through the Ministers of Finance and Energy, to take actions to secure these funds for the period 202402029.

The importers are deputies from GERB-SDS, the first signature is from the former energy minister Temenuzka Petkova. In their reasons, it is written that with these BGN 200 million per year from the national budget, the mines will be able to plan and implement measures to slow down coal mining and restore disturbed areas.

The Chairman of the Energy Commission, Delyan Dobrev, specified that these funds are allocated from the state budget, as the energy sector is quite financially drained. The mines had no funds and therefore had to be helped for the reclamation.

Dragomir Stoinev from the BSP asked if GERB is looking for alternative employment for the miners,

The Price Falls As Concern Over An Escalation…

Peloponnese Newsroom

The price of oil did fall on Friday, April 19, 2024, following initial concerns about escalating tensions in the Middle East.

After oil jumped more than $3 earlier, Brent futures were down 46 cents, or 0.5%, at $86.65 a barrel.

The most active U.S. crude contract was down 34 cents, or 0.4%, at $82.39.

The initial concern was sparked by the fact that the Israel launched an attack on Iranian soil but an Iranian official told Reuters that it was caused by air defense systems. State media reported that three drones were shot down over the central city of Isfahan.

According to newsit, the Tehran downplayed the incident and said it had no plans to retaliate, a response that appeared to be aimed at avoiding a region-wide war.

Investors are closely monitoring the possibility of an escalation of the crisis. The geopolitical risk premium in oil prices has fallen this week on the perception that any Israeli retaliation to its attack Iran will be moderated by international pressure.

US Court To Review Regulation On Phantom Weapons

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday agreed to take up an appeal by President Joe Biden’s administration over regulations on hard-to-trace firearms that had been struck down by lower courts.

The judges, by 5 votes in favor and 4 against, had previously intervened to keep the regulations in force during the legal dispute. So-called ghost guns, which lack serial numbers, have been turning up at crime scenes with increasing regularity.

The regulation, which took effect in 2022, changed the definition of a firearm under federal law to include unfinished parts, such as the frame of a handgun or the receiver of a long gun, so they can be more easily traced. Those parts must be licensed and include serial numbers. Manufacturers must also perform background checks before a sale, as they do with other commercially manufactured firearms.

The requirement applies regardless of how the gun was manufactured, meaning it includes ghost guns made from individual parts or kits or using 3D printers. The rule does not prohibit people from purchasing a kit or any type of firearm.

The Justice Department had told the court that authorities seized more than 19,000 ghost guns at crime scenes in 2021,

Cha Baidao Breaks Through The First Day Of…

On April 23, Chabaidao made headlines when it was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, becoming the second listed company in the new tea beverage industry. Despite raising nearly HK$2.6 billion, it faced a challenging first day of trading as its stock price took a significant plunge of over 35%.

Chabaidao, a well-known freshly made tea brand in China with a strong operating performance, attracted institutional investors with its impressive financial indicators. However, its IPO pricing valuation was deemed high, leading to the stock price drop on its debut.

Industry experts believe that Chabaidao’s stock performance will have a ripple effect on other new tea beverage companies planning to go public. Companies like Mixue Bingcheng and Gu Ming are also eyeing listing, but may need to reassess their valuations and fundraising plans in light of Chabaidao’s experience.

The new tea beverage market is highly competitive, with companies facing challenges in differentiating their products and services. Investors may now scrutinize the sustainability and profitability of businesses in this sector more closely before investing.

The road to IPO for new tea beverage companies has become more challenging, with Chabaidao’s listing serving as a cautionary tale.
