Russia and Ukraine to Hold Second Round of Peace Talks in Istanbul
ISTANBUL – Russia and Ukraine are scheduled to meet in Istanbul on June 2nd for a second round of peace negotiations, despite remaining disagreements on ending the conflict.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Moscow’s conditions for a ceasefire would be a key topic of discussion in Turkey. However, Russia has yet to formally submit its proposals to Ukraine, a primary request from Kyiv.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced on Thursday that he had presented Ukraine’s proposals to Russia,while also affirming “readiness for a full and unconditional ceasefire”.
