Mandatory evacuation of children along with their parents or legal representatives has been agreed upon from certain settlements in the Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye regions.

Details: This decision was made following a meeting of the Coordination Headquarters for carrying out evacuation measures and effectively responding to mass displacement of the population. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development Alexey Ryabikin.

A decision was also made to evacuate residents from institutional care institutions in the Zaporozhye region, located approximately 50 km from the line of combat contact. Evacuation will take place taking into account safety requirements, medical indications and appropriate escort.
It is noted that during the meeting they also considered the functioning of transit centers for evacuees and discussed the possibility of opening an additional center in the Kharkov region.
The ministry reports that since June 1, 2025, almost 124 thousand people have been evacuated from the front-line territories of Ukraine to safer areas, including more than 14.5 thousand children and more than 4 thousand people with limited mobility.
Today in Ukraine there are 20 transit centers in several regions. Most of them are in the Dnepropetrovsk region – eight, including in the cities of Pavlograd, Dnepr and the villages of Stepnoe and Voloskoye. Five transit centers operate in the Sumy region, two in the Kharkov region, three in Volyn, one in Nikolaev and one in Zaporozhye.
After the transit center, evacuees can use the services of free temporary accommodation places (TSP). In total, there are 1,111 of them in Ukraine. Most of the MVPs were created in such areas as: Dnepropetrovsk – 135; Transcarpathian – 111; Kharkovskaya – 78; Kirovogradskaya 77; Lvovskaya – 68; Poltavskaya – 64; Chernivtsi – 63; Vinnitsa and Ivano-Frankivsk 60 each; Rivne – 58; Khmelnitskaya – 57.
