The United Kingdom will not be among the signatories, this Thursday in Davos, of the “Peace Council” of US President Donald Trump, announced the British Foreign Minister, Yvette Cooper.
Donald Trump must preside on Thursday in Davos a signing ceremony of the founding charter of this organization created at his initiativeand intended to work on the resolution of conflicts in the world, in competition with the United Nations (UN).
“There is still a lot of work to do. We will not be among the signatories today,” declared Yvette Cooper in an interview with the BBC in Davos.
“This is a legal treaty that raises much broader issues, and we are also concerned that President (Russian Vladimir) Putin is part of an organization that talks about peace, when we have not yet seen any sign from him indicating that he will commit to peace in Ukraine“Cooper added.
