Bayern Munich winger Luis Díaz (28) received a three-match ban for a foul on Achraf Hakimi (27). The Colombian injured the Moroccan with an indiscriminate tackle at the beginning of November in the Champions League, whose absence is estimated to last until the end of the year.
Díaz enjoyed a very good game at the Parc des Princes in the fourth round of the main stage of the Champions League, with two goals after 32 minutes of play. At the end of the first half, however, he jumped under Hakimi’s legs, causing him to seriously sprain his ankle. A straight red card was a complication for Bayern, but they still managed to win 2-1.
Since this incident, the Moroccan has not returned to the pitch, he could recover around Christmas. When he accepted the African Footballer of the Year award on Wednesday, he limped for it in a brace. He became the first defender in the last 52 years to achieve this award.
UEFA have now confirmed that Díaz cannot touch Bayern’s next three matches in the millionaire competition. He will miss an away duel with Arsenal and a home game against Sporting and Royale Union SG.

Bayern coach Vincent Kompany said earlier on Friday that he only had information about the one-match suspension. The penalty was eventually increased by two more matches, in which the Bavarians are, however, in the role of clear favorites with the advantage of the home environment.
There are three 100% teams left in the Champions League – Bayern, Arsenal and Inter. Thanks to a better score, Munich are in first place.
