LAS VEGAS – American television star Chad Ollinger, known from the show Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch on the Discovery Channel, has an extremely serious charge on his neck. According to the police, he should have killed his fellow inmate in the Las Vegas prison!
As TMZ reports, the tragedy occurred on Friday at the Clark County Detention Center. During a routine inspection of the cells, prison guards found one of the prisoners lying motionless. After entering the cell, they discovered that the man had visible blunt force injuries on his body. The doctor on the spot only declared death.
The investigation showed that the deceased shared a cell with Chad Ollinger. Detectives have concluded that the two men had a physical altercation shortly before their deaths. Ollinger was subsequently detained and is currently facing charges of so-called “open murder”, which means that the exact legal qualification of the crime will still be subject to further investigation.
Ollinger has been behind bars since October, when police arrested him as a fugitive from another US state. There he was to face charges of contempt of court. The case continues to be investigated by law enforcement authorities. The final extent of guilt and possible punishment are not known. What is certain, however, is that the man whom the audience knew from the television screen today faces a much darker reality.
