A new molecule offers real hopes for patients with metastasized breast cancer, according to a study presented at the annual oncology congress in Chicago. A simple blood test makes it possible to flush the progress of tumors very early, and block them.
Act as quickly as possible to prevent the progression of cancer. The idea seems simple, the stake is nonetheless essential. The Serena-6 study,presented last Sunday in plenary session of the annual congress of the American oncology company (ASCO) and published in the journal New England Journal of Medicine,shows that early adaptation of the treatment,thanks to the detection by simple blood test of the progression of cancers of the hormone-replacement breast (called RH+ HER2-),makes it possible to significantly improve the quality of life of the patients.
