The once-cordial relationship between President Donald Trump and Elon Musk has devolved into a public feud, playing out prominently on X, formerly known as Twitter, which is owned by Musk.

While President Trump’s online presence isn’t as constant as before, Musk remains a highly active user of the platform.

The tension seemingly began when Musk retweeted older posts from President Trump, potentially aiming too highlight perceived inconsistencies.

The exchange quickly escalated,capturing the attention of many X users.

What Sparked The feud Between Trump And Musk?

Recently, Musk’s departure from the White House occurred under unusual circumstances, despite appearing amicable initially.

Musk was seen on camera sporting a black eye and a “Dogefather” t-shirt, before receiving a symbolic golden key to the White House, engraved wiht the phrase “Stay Hard.”

“The girls are fighting, aren’t they?”

The feud intensified when Musk criticized President Trump’s new line of MAGA-branded sneakers, calling them “fugly” and suggesting that the former president should focus on more pressing matters.

President Trump responded by mocking Musk’s gaming abilities, referencing the recent controversy surrounding Musk’s alleged faking of his gaming skills.

Adding fuel to the fire, President Trump also criticized the design of the Tesla Cybertruck, comparing it unfavorably to a golf cart.

The burning Tesla CyberTruck outside of the Trump hotel at the start of the year was seen by some as an omen.

When Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (AOC) was asked her opinion of the feud, she responded with, “The girls are fighting, aren’t they?”

AOC described the feud as “a long time coming. we were saying that these two huge egos were not long for being together in this world as friends.”

Azealia Banks, who popularized the phrase “the girls are fighting,” was shocked that AOC was familiar with her meme, writing “in what world is AOC fluent in Azealia Banksism’s?”

Currently, President Trump and Musk seem to have de-escalated, signaling a temporary truce.
