Trump Venezuela Drug Traffickers: New Land Campaign

(Palm Beach) The United States will “very soon” begin targeting “Venezuelan drug traffickers” during operations “on land”, and not just at sea, Donald Trump announced Thursday, in the midst of an episode of high tensions between Washington and Caracas.

Since September, US forces have targeted more than 20 suspected drug trafficking vessels in the Caribbean Sea and Eastern Pacific, killing at least 83 people.

But Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro denounced a military maneuver aimed at overthrowing him and seizing his country’s oil reserves.
