According to a report by Wall Street Journal, the Trump government blocked the plans of US Steel on Friday to stop production in one of its works in Illinois. She made use of her so-called “golden stock” authority, as a person familiar with the matter said.

According to media reports, the company originally planned to hire production in the work in November.
Minister of Commerce Howard Lutnick informed the US Steel CEO Dave Burritt that the US President would use his “Golden share” authority to ensure that the company would not be stopped, the report continued.
