The White House defended President Donald Trump, who called a journalist a “pig,” with the absurd logic that he was a “very frank and honest president.”

On the 20th, local time, White House spokeswoman Caroline Levitt responded to a reporter’s question about what President Trump meant by calling a reporter a pig, saying, “The president is very open and honest with everyone in this room,” and added, “You all witnessed and experienced it yourself.”

He added, “I think the reason Americans chose President Trump again is because of his honesty and his criticism of fake news. President Trump gets angry when people lie or spread fake news about him and his administration.”

On the 14th, President Trump interrupted a reporter asking a question about the ‘Epstein file’ on Air Force One and said, “Be quiet. Be quiet, you pig.”

The American Journalists Association said in a statement that it strongly condemns not only President Trump’s “pig” comment, but also his “horrible” criticism of an ABC reporter who asked bin Salman about the assassination of Saudi dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi during a summit with Saudi Arabia’s crown prince held at the White House.
