A particular highlight of the trip was a meeting between Trump and Prince William at the UK ambassador’s residence. The pair, who met prior to the reopening of the Notre-Dame Cathedral, reportedly had a "great talk" lasting over 30 minutes.
According to Trump, they discussed the well-being of both William’s wife, Catherine, Princess of Wales, and his father, King Charles, who are both battling cancer. Trump also remarked on William’s good looks, calling him a "good looking guy" and stating that he looked "really, very handsome."
Kensington Palace described the meeting as "warm and friendly."
This interaction highlights Trump’s efforts to maintain international ties and build new relationships, seemingly successful in demonstrating cordiality amongst a crowded European stage.
