Trump: Iran Negotiators Fear for Their Lives

Trump added in his speech: “I have ended 8 wars, and we are now victorious in our war against Iran.”

He stressed that Iranian negotiators “fear that they will be killed by their own people.”

Trump stressed that “the Iranians are negotiating with us and are eager to conclude an agreement.”

He continued, saying: “We destroyed everything in Iran. We want to see the United States achieve success in its military operations in Iran.”

On Wednesday, the US government threatened Iran to intensify attacks on it if it did not conclude an agreement.

White House spokeswoman Carolyn Levitt said in Washington that “there is no need for more death and destruction.”

Levitt added: “But if Iran does not accept the reality of the current moment, and if it does not realize that it has been defeated militarily and will continue to be so, then President Trump will ensure that it is hit harder than it has been subjected to before.”

Levitt noted that the leadership in Tehran now has an opportunity to cooperate with Trump, which requires abandoning its nuclear program and ceasing to threaten the United States and its allies.

The White House announced on Wednesday that the United States and Iran are still engaged in peace talks, despite what Iranian official media reported about Tehran’s rejection of Washington’s proposal to end the war.

In response to a question about the Iranian reports, Levitt said, “The talks are continuing. They are productive, as President Trump announced Monday.”

Levitt stressed, “President Trump does not threaten in vain, and he is willing to open the gates of hell. Iran must not make a mistake in its calculations again.”

Regarding the American proposal, Levitt said that there are “elements of truth” in media reports about the details of a 15-item plan that includes demands directed at Tehran.

For his part, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on Wednesday that his government does not intend to hold any negotiations with the United States to end the war.

In an interview with Iranian state television, Araqchi said that his government did not participate in talks to end the war, “and we do not plan to hold any negotiations.”

Araqchi explained that exchanging messages through intermediaries “does not mean negotiating with the United States.”

Araqchi pointed out that the higher authorities are “reviewing the proposals submitted, and Iran does not intend to hold talks with the United States.”
