The United States Supreme Court agreed this Friday to examine the constitutionality of President Donald Trump‘s order on birthright citizenship, which declares that children of parents who are in the United States without documents or temporarily are not American citizens.
The justices will hear Trump’s appeal against a lower court ruling that struck down restrictions on citizenship. These restrictions have not come into effect anywhere in the country.
The case will be debated in the spring. The final ruling is expected to be handed down in early summer.
More information coming soon.
