When it comes into operation in 2029, Pacifico Mexinol is a candidate to become the largest independent system in the world for chemical production with very low carbon emissions, with an annual production expected of about 350,000 tons of green methanol and 1.8 million tons of blue methanol, obtained by catching the CO2 and natural gas. The event was attended by representatives of federal, state and municipal governments, in addition to the ambassadors of the countries involved in this multinational project.
The IFC was also present at the ceremony, together with other strategic commercial partners who will provide key elements of avant -garde technology and engineering to the project, including green hydrogen and the largest program in the world of recycling and use of industrial waste water. Transition Industries plans to sign further strategic agreements and reach significant goals during the summer. The project should be presented as an example of large -scale chemical initiative with very low carbon emissions during the COP 30, scheduled in Belém, Brazil, in November 2025.
