Tomahawk & Cruise Missiles: Putin’s Response & Concerns

by Archynetys World Desk

Without luck, the Kremlin has previously advised against the United States not to send F-16 aircraft, Atacms missiles and Abram’s tanks to Ukraine. Now Vladimir Putin is doing what he can to signal that American Tomahawk rockets will be a bad idea.

In the Rhetoric from the Kremlin Tones’s effect of Tomahawk rockets on the battlefield down, while it is stronger emphasized how harmful such a delivery will be to the US-Russia relationship, the American Institute of the Study of War (ISW) summarizes the American Thinking Institute.

ISW writes that the Kremlin only repeats itself with the latest Tomahawk statements.

Norwegian expert: – Important contribution

-Tomahawk-Cross Missil will be an important contribution to Ukraine’s strategic campaign into Russian territory, Lars Peder Haga, Associate Professor at the Defense College, stated in an interview with Nettavisen on October 7.

“How improved the ability will be, among other things, will depend on how many Tomahawk they get and whether they also receive support with target data and route planning, which is important to get the most effect out of this type of weapon,” Haga continued.

Tomahawk rockets have a range of 1600 and 2500 kilometers, respectively, which means Ukraine will be able to use them for long-range attacks deep in Russia, including Moscow.

On September 11, the newspaper The Financial Times reported that the United States has contributed to intelligence to help Ukraine in its attacks on the Russian energy sector, including oil refineries, since at least July this year.

– Et very dramatic moment

The message from government spokesman Dmitrij Peskov on Sunday was that the possibility of Tomahawk deliveries to Ukraine will not change anything on the battlefield, but still is something that is worried Russia.

If Tomahawk rockets are fired against Russia, we can only take into account that some of these missiles carry nuclear warheads, PSKOV says according to Reuters.

“The question of Tomahawk rockets is the subject of extreme concern,” Peskov told reporter Pavel Zarubin on State Russian TV on Sunday, statements, which are reproduced by Russian Tass.

He followed up by calling it “a very dramatic moment considering the tension escalating from all sides,” according to Reuters.

In a phone call between US President Donald Trump and Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyj on Sunday, Tomahawk rockets were a theme. Zelenkyj referred to the conversation as “very productive” and added that Ukrainian air defense and energy security were also the theme. The conversation between the two is the other in two days, writes Isw.
