Title: Apple Watch Saves Womans Life by Detecting Dangerous Heart Condition

2024-05-05 19:01:00

A 35-year-old political researcher from Delhi, Sneha Saha, owes her life to her Apple Watch. On the evening of April 9th, she noticed an unusually fast heartbeat. At first she thought it was a stress-related panic attack and tried to calm her condition with deep breathing techniques and drinking water.

Sneha suffered from atrial fibrillation (AFib), a dangerous cardiac arrhythmia characterized by a fast and irregular heartbeat. She told news agency IANS about her experience.

“I had an atypically high heart rate,” Sneha told IANS, adding: “The condition continued even after several minutes.” In her distress, she decided to put on her Apple Watch Series 7.

To her amazement, the watch immediately told her to see a doctor – advice she initially ignored. Her heart rate rose to an alarming 230 beats per minute late in the evening. The Apple Watch then warned you again urgently.

Sneha was then taken to the emergency room of the nearby Fortis Hospital in Vasant Kunj. The medical staff there were initially unable to measure her pulse due to the extremely high frequency.

After her hospital stay, she wrote to Apple CEO Tim Cook as a thank you.

Apple’s Radical Changes to iPad Ecosystem in the EU: Implications and Future Trends

When the European Union introduced the Digital Markets Act, it marked a significant shift in the way tech platforms are regulated. The aim was to prevent monopoly abuses and create a more open and competitive environment. As a result, Apple has made substantial changes to its iPhone ecosystem for EU users, and now, it has been confirmed that similar changes are coming for iPad users.

This move will only impact users in the EU initially, but it is worth noting that other governments worldwide are closely monitoring these developments and may consider implementing similar legal changes in their respective countries.

The Transformation of iPad Ecosystem:

In a recent news update for developers, Apple officially announced that the changes it implemented for the iPhone will be extended to the iPad in the fall. This move is in compliance with the European Commission’s designation of iPadOS as a gatekeeper platform under the Dig ital Markets Act.

According to Apple, these changes will pave the way for alternative app marketplaces, allowing users to download apps from sources other than the Apple App Store. Additionally, users will have the freedom to choose a different browser on their iPads,
