The Time magazine This Thursday, he named eight magnates linked to Artificial Intelligence (AI) companies as people of the year, considering that their work is “transforming humanity.”
Jensen Huangof Nvidia; Sam Altmanfrom OpenAI; and Elon Muskfrom xAI, are some of those who are among the entrepreneurs who “have taken the wheel of History, developing technology and making decisions that are reshaping the information landscape, the climate and our livelihoods,” noted the American magazine

On one of its covers, the magazine depicted eight businessmen in the industry sitting on a beam suspended over a city, in an illustration that recreates an iconic 1932 photograph of a group of construction workers during their break in a New York skyscraper.
The businessmen in the picture are the boss of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg; Lisa Sufrom the semiconductor company AMD; Elon Muskde xAI; Jensen Huangof Nvidia; Sam Altmanfrom OpenAI; Demis Hassabisfrom Google’s AI division, DeepMind; Dario Amodei from Anthropic and, finally, the expert from Stanford University, Fei-Fei Liconsidered the “godmother” of AI.
The magazine had chosen Donald Trump as the person of the year in 2024.

The distinction, awarded since 1927, usually highlights influential personalities on the international scene, although not necessarily popular or supported by the magazine. Their list includes people like Adolf Hitler in 1938, to pop star Taylor Swift in 2023.
