The banner read, “Superb is paid with humiliation. Do not fall,” accompanied by photos of both Doehner and Culebro, clearly indicating the fans’ unhappiness with the team’s current performance.

The fans’ criticism comes at a challenging time for the club. In the first half of 2025, the Tigers did not achieve any of the objectives set. The team was eliminated in semifinals both from the Clausura 2025 tournament and the Concacaf Champions League. This lack of silverware has intensified the pressure on the directive.

Notably, the phrase on the banner, “Superb is paid with humiliation. Do not fall“, It was used in April 2021 by Mauricio Doehne, in a post on his X account referencing the stripped of José Mourinho del Tottenham. At the time, many interpreted this as an indirect to coach Ricardo “Tuca” Ferretti, who soon after left his position with Tigres.
