Rise up, hero, and open the door, the King of Thunder is coming! The time has come to lay siege to the Thunder King’s fortress. The Thunder King content update comes with two new areas: Thunder Island and Giant Island; a new equipment upgrade system (the Thunder Forge), a new legendary chapter, two new world bosses: Oondasta and Nalak; and Solio del Trueno, a band with 12 matches that will arrive shortly after launch.
Additionally, this content update continues the legendary quest chain, introduces new quests, updates the challenge mode, and includes new features for celestial dungeons.
- Two new areas: This update introduces Thunder Island and Giant Island! You will have to collaborate with other champions to unlock each phase of the island by participating in new daily PvE and PvP missions, completing a new campaign and delving into new quests.
- Two new world bosses: Each area in the Thunder King content update has its own world boss: Thunder Island is the home of Nalak, the Storm Lord; while on Giant Island you can find Oondasta, a Zandalari experiment.
- New band: Throne of Thunder: Emperor Lei Shen, King of Thunder, has returned to unleash his vengeance on Pandaria. The Throne of Thunder is a sprawling fortress that hosts 12 raid gatherings.
