After six ans d’absencethe Barfolies troupe, entity of thecultural association B’Artfleuris back in a play written by François Morel. There staging for this first performance is produced by Didier Royant, recently installed in Barfleur (Manche).
After a long journey of professional actorhe hopes, with the whole teamrekindle the flame of theater in Barfleur, a flame that the Barfolies had lit a few years ago, under the leadership of the late Gary Cowan. For several weeks now, the camateur omedians of this troupe meet regularly for long sessions of rehearsalswhich take place in a ambiance at once studious and friendly.
“Many things”, to have a great time
The seven actresses and comedians, frequent travelerssurvey all the continents, through their postcards.
Yes, that’s when we wrote postcards. The texts reveal a pearl, an oddity, a find. Between banality and strangeness, these travelers who boldly set out to explore reveal themselves as poets or philosophers of the vast world, dreaming only of returning, regretting seeing their little habits disrupted, regretting their daily routine.
Their wonderstheir disappointmentstheir humourtheir nostalgiatranscribed on their postcards, are read with curiosity and sometimes jealousy by their recipients who then live by proxy in Venice or Caracas, in Bulgaria or in Greece.
A great way to imagine what travelers we are. These dozens of postcards offer humorous, human and tender responses.
